Default moving over to the Baza area

Hi all

I'm moving over to the Baza area in September (as some of you are already aware of) but I?m coming over to Spain next Thursday (13th) July until the 18th to try and sort a few things out.
My brain is working over time of all the things I?m going to need to get sorted while I?m there but can someone please make a list for me so i know what I?m doing
I know I need to sort out my husband and myself NIE numbers (how do we do this if we do not have an address in Spain yet?)
We need to try and find a rental house, sort out a school for my 3 year old daughter, look for work etc
have I missed anything???
Thanks
Bennett

Hi,

You need an address in Spain for the NIE form. The schools are closed in July, so there wouldn't be much you could do about that when you go on the 13th. I noticed in another thread that you have a child with epilepsy, and are concerned about medication, so perhaps you could find out about that, along with how you would go about getting a medical assessment of the condition, once you are settled there. If epilepsy is classed as a disability, then you might find there are help with prescription costs and other things. For your visit, take your EHIC's with you and say you want to be seen under the European health scheme, and not as a private patient. I hope this helps.
Thanks
Trent
