Default Buying outright in Spain

Hello all,
The children are now starting to leave home, and myself and my wife are left with each others company. " lets move to Spain" I cried, the weathers better, the houses are cheaper, the culture seems to be more to our suiting, you see we are not pubbers and clubbers but we enjoy eating out at a reasonable pace and a reasonable price. " after all " I said "we enjoyed Minorca".
We have enough money in our property in Kent to buy something small outright in Spain and a little something left to tie us over, but we would still need to work to pay our way.
So are we just searching for a dream, or could it be reallity. Could this unskilled bus driver from Kent and his wife really make it in Spain and most of all? Where do we begin?
Thanks in advance

Default Buying outright in Spain

Hey,
Yeah you are free to move and work any where in the European union. The only problem is if you don't speak the language you'll have problems in every area of life.
Thank you

Sure, you can always move to Spain! Go ahead fulfill you dream. Spain is really a wonderful place to live with. I also dream of living there. Tenerife is one beautiful Spanish island you should consider. I am glad to share with you a site that can help you have that Tenerife property. You can also select from property sale in south Tenerife where local real estate agents can help you. If you want to know more about Tenerife and the attractions you can find there, an online Tenerife travel guide will be of help.

Can you get health cover if you hold one of those cards you can get now for use in EU?

I keeep searching for a portal but most of the property is rubbish and you get hooked up by people who aren't real agents.

Relocating to Spain when you need a job to make it work is not easy just now....it's never been easy but there is now a lot of unemployment and if you do not speak Spanish and have a skill in demand then it is perhaps a big risk

Love to be able to find a home for you and help with all the relocating problems but just now I have to say' from what you have said in your post, it is perhaps a ' dream to put on hold' until this recession is over ...sorry about that!

But of course there are always those who follow that dream and do well..but life is for living so if you do decide to follow that dream....good luck

Just a thought

We have a town house in the village of Albanachez Almeria where the owners have to sell.....it is a Spanish version of an English country cottage
Modernisation nearly finished and at 55.000 € it is a very good buy.....may be at this price you could afford to have it as a holiday home....perhaps even get together with family or friends to buy it between you!
Then you will have part of that dream

Quite true but others look in and it helps them to see just what is available...part of what forums are all about

To communicate and inform in equal proportions!
