Default Help for selling property in turkey

Hi

I am hoping someone can help me. I have a property in Turkey I would like to sell. The problem I'm finding is that all the estate agents in the area where the property is are linked to developers and only sell the developers new builds. Since we did not buy from either of the two main developers in the area we have been told by these agents that they cannot take our property on their books. It doesn?t seem to be the same as in other countries where an estate agent will value the property and then advertise it for you.
We are a bit stuck. We are advertising it ourselves but with limited success.
The developer we bought it from is quite small and doesn?t re-sell property.

If there?s anyone who can offer some useful advice or knows of anywhere in the Hisaronu area of Turkey who is totally independent we would be grateful.

Thank
Clayton

i dont agree that all the estate agents are only interested in new builds.. they also make commissiion on the resale properties that they have..

have u spoke to any agents?

i am not an agent, but i have sold houses in a prev life.. sales is sales, why would they not take on a property with the thought of some commission coming after a sale??

When selling i would suggest doing a bit of work yourselves rather than leaving it totally in the hands of agents, not knocking them but they do have a lot of properties to deal with. look around the net for property sites where you can advertise on multiple sites.
Push your property wherever and whichever way you can, if you need any help feel free to contact me.

Reduce the asking price? (sorry - being flippant)

Given the new law that has been introduced restricting foreigners buying any Turkish property, which effectivley means you can sell but only to Turks not foreigners. Turks are not (could not?) going to pay the same price for property as foreigners would.

If you haven't read this thread already, you should :- Turkey Property sales to foreigners have come to a halt
