Default Mortgage on Turkish property

I am a UK citizen and have brought an appartment on the Bodrum Peninsular in cash. (I know there are a lot of negatives, but I am prepared for that and still thought it a good investment)

Anyway, what I need advise on is mortgages. I have found a couple of companies (Connect Overseas and Conti Financial) that are sourcing them, both seem to be through the same bank.

I have brought abroad before and know mortgages and associated costs vary, but I think the charges are really high about £1700 and the interest rate of 7.2% doesnt seem a great deal. For several reasons I cant remortgage in UK.

Anyone know of any other deals at present?

Thanks

Smile Good investment!

İt was a good decision to buy a property in Bodrum peninsula, but if you surely know who you are buying from.
They are working on the mortgage system for foreigners in Turkey, i think they will make it work asap, you know that it is new for turkish citizens too.

I have brought through a company in UK that I have brought several times from (not Turkey). They have several projects with a large Turkish developer in Istanbul, Finike and mine in Bodrum.

So I am happy about that side of things. I just didnt expect the mortgages and
paperwork to be so long winded.

I didnt really ask my solicitor for an explanation - probably should try her again!
