Post Marmaris

Hi,

My first ever visit to turkey was to Marmaris quite a few years ago.
I am still very fond of this part of Turkey, anybody invested in Marmaris?,if so what are your thoughts on investment here.
I know recently the prices seem to be on the up as always ,how does this compare to the rest of the tourist areas? within Turkey.

Default Marmaris

Couple of years ago, I have also had a chance to visit Marmaris along with some other seaside towns down in the southwest of turkey. Excellent place. I have no idea about the current estate prices but looked like an excellent place to settle. I am sure Marmaris must be attracting a lot of foreigners (expats) in comparison to other towns I have seen. Even though, I only saw the town during the summer, it looked like it had a large enough local population to keep it running off-season. Sorry, no solid info here but just wanted to drop a few lines to express my thoughts since it was about Marmaris.

All views are welcome.
Marmaris in the winter months is a ghost town as all the Turkish workers do go back home for a few months,I find it really pleasant just not good for winter however I do still like it very much.Real estate has shot up in prices over the last few years.

Hi yes Marmaris is brilliant I agree,I just think it has got a bit too dear especially as in the winter it is a ghost town.
My cousin has a villa in Dalaman he got it quite a few years ago.

Hi People,

Does anyone have any info on property prices in Marmaris or Icmeler?.
I know there is a lot of interest in Turkey but I am surprised that there are very few people with any kind of development information regarding the above destinations.
Am I not right in thinking Marmaris and Icmeler are favourite destinations?
Or is it just me that thinks they are any good for investment?
Any info would be welcome.
