Hi TH4S

Not since the first week of Jan but I commute on a regular basis. I work with the world's largest residential real estate corporation and I work with some 2,000+ highly qualified and trained agents in Turkey.

Hi Crypto,

Thanks for the cleared point.
You just want to have a long term investment by buying a property so I suggest you to think about two options for Turkey. The first is coastal places of TR and the second one is big cities like Istanbul and Izmir.Big cities are very expensive for a good house so seaside homes are better according to your budget.
The most important thing you should search is the location should be developing by years, cheap now but will have a higher value by years, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments which can be suitable for most people.
If you have £55k, you can easily buy an apartment with 2 or 3 beds, even a duplex without having mortgage.
Altinkum, Akbuk and Bozbuk is a good choice for these reasons.
It is cheap now but will not be the same after demand by people and Marina and Golf Course has been opened to people in 5 years

Crypto,Back out as far to expensive - looks like they have inflated the price to service the Guaranteed rental income for the 4 years and added more as well.

Get on the ground if you can and you will pick up something cheap in Bodrum area as so much unsold stuff available. Try for a resale and use a Turkish Euro mortgage which most of the banks are now giving at 65% LTV.

If fact with £55k cash you are in a great position to buy something quickly and cheaply.

judging upon most of the comments on this thread it appears one of those locally trained estate agents is pulling a fast one - and it's clear you agree. As someone who conducts a lot of business in Turkey and, a home-owner, my views are perfectly as valid as the next persons. Also, at no time am I promoting my company's ware on this site.

Personally I love Turkey, it's people and culture but, as a professional, I'm also conscious of its need to raise its building standards and mature into a healthy new-build & resale market. I have been fortunate enough to have served various developers needs over the past few years through funding and expertise. Just because I'm not in Turkey this week and next, why should this deny me a platform. Please explain.

Kind regards...

Olly

LOL...TH4S...

Think you might be misunderstanding or inadvertantly misinterpreting my comment. I said it 'appears' one of those locally trained estate agents is pulling a fast one.

This has nothing to do with any of the other contributors to the best of my knowledge and understanding of the thread so far. In fact, Freshbrain, Agean & You (TH4S) have all stated the target property "is too expensive" and one person even suggested it's possible the 4 year rental guarantee is being wrapped into the sale price to pay for said guarantee.

Trust you better understand my and others position on this thread and, please, relax, no-one is (specially me) suggesting you or your company is doing anything wrong in any way.

Having looked at your site, your company clearly states its ambition to continually raise its standard to ensure it's reputation is far higher than those who stimulate this kind of thread.

...and very best of good fortune to you & yours!!!

Olly
