Belgian partner moving to UK

Hi there. My partner is intending to move here to live and work in the UK, he is a freelance graphic designer. Our plan A has gone wrong so now we need to find accommodation near where I live and go from there. I am very keen to make contact with anyone who has had similar experiences and explore all avenues I can to resolve this. Hope someone can help!

Where are you in the UK?

He can get info on Graphic Design work via DW magazine (Design Weekly). My husband is a graphic designer but we have found getting him work here very hard (we live in Gloucestershire and there seems to be a glut of GD's here).

He has been working in other fields, maybe your partner could keep remotely working for existing clients while he breaks into the market - Begium's not far and broad band is fine here. Also there are various regular internet job listings.
