Switching Over Mortgage

Hi,
I have got a mortgage on my primary residence with Halifax which is fix for 5 years, I wanted to know: 1. If I buy another property for e.g.: for ?100K and if the remaining mortgage is ?100K is it possible to switch the mortgage to the new property and get a buy to let for the current property without any penalties. (Plan is to move out of the current property so that it can be rented and get into a new property without putting any deposit) 2. Can I switch or change the deal without any penalties. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kristopher,
The simple answer to your question is that anything and everything can be done. Speak to the lender directly. Be assertive and just ask them. They want to keep your business and will try to accommodate you in every way possible.
