I've noticed a lot of families considering holidaying in the UK next year because of bad exchange rates / rising hidden costs even on budget flights - so I think there may be increased demand for holiday rentals next year. Nothing concrete though, just lots of anecdotes from families on other forums I read.

As of now the markets were not doing well and it's not advised to invest on property even. All the global markets were in crisis. Even in uK the property market is quite down , it is analysed that more then 10% of the prices were down when compared to last year. It's expected to go more down in the new year.

Default newquay

I have completed on 5 properties in newquay, but am considering notc completing on a sixth, I will loose 10% deposit but fear price may have dropped by that anyway (plus I can;t get a mortgage).

I paid deposits for offplan back in mid 2006. My business model did not include current conditions.

Surely a two year rise would put you pretty even even in todays climate?
What did you buy and whats it worth? Were you flipping or renting?
What did you base you model on?
Surely if renting price doesnt matter but rental return to cover mortgage
What did you buy in 2006? Arent most up and running?
Why no mortgage? LTV? Interest rate?
