Cavite - A Nice Alternative to Urban Manila
| Cavite - A Nice Alternative to Urban Manila |
|
Cavite is a nice place to stay in. it’s just thirty kilometers away from the bustling urban jungle that is Manila, making it close enough so you can still commute to work and yet live far enough from the noise and activity of the city, with enough of a relaxing atmosphere to get you by daily. It’s a more family-friendly place as well, with more people coming in to live with their families here instead of living and working all in the Manila area. Geography of Cavite CityThe city land area itself is shaped somewhat in the form of a hook, all the way out into the area of Manila Bay, making the city a coastal area. The total land area is about twenty-one square km, and the resident’s number one hundred and five thousand, which is lower than the residents per land area in other nearby urbanized cities. Traveling by the highway going into Manila, the distance covered will be thirty-five km. Cavite City has five districts, each having eight sub districts in its area. Culture and DemographicsThe city of Cavite has a strong background in the Christian religion. The Patroness of Cavite is commonly known as “Reina de Cavite”, and shows the Virgin Mary mourning for her son during the Passion. The image is depicted as having the crucifixion tools used during the time of Christ in front of Mary. The original painting is still displayed in one of the parish churches in Cavite, at San Roque. The majority of the residents in Cavite mostly belong to the Roman Catholic Church, at eighty percent of the population. High urbanization has been the norm in Cavite, and there have been great increases in the number of people moving in to live in the city and work there or commuting daily to Manila. The primary languages used in the city, as well as everywhere else in the province are Filipino, English, and Chabacano, the latter of which originated during the Spanish occupation of the country and is now ceasing its usage as there are fewer and fewer people who speak this language. This has been mainly due to those moving into the city from other provinces and the same has been responsible for the rise of usage of other languages not native to the area like Cebuano. Cavite’s Increasingly Urbanized EconomyThe location of Cavite, lying in close proximity to the greater Manila Area has boosted its economy greatly. Several large players in different industries have their manufacturing plants set up within the province scattered outside the city, an example of which is Intel of microchip fame, having its manufacturing site in one of the many provincial industrial parks. Investment and commercial establishments have poured in from the direction of Manila, and since the province on which Cavite City is situated in is also within easy reach it has become an obvious target for expansion by commercial and industrial establishments. There are now five SM Supermalls in the whole of the province, being the top department store chain in the country. Expansion plans and new mall projects are also under way within various locations in the province. Some developmental issues have surfaced and become rather obvious with the number of inhabitants in the coastal areas of the city. This is because of their close proximity to the actual coastline, and the below sea level elevation that causes potable water problems from the saltwater entering the water supply. A rising sea level also translates into residents moving out of their homes as the water line encroaches in on their homes. Some of the changes made to the city infrastructure are aimed at boosting the economic background of the city, with a new ferry service taking residents across the water and directly into the Mall of Asia, which saves the Cavite residents quite some time in traveling to and from the city. The Mall of Asia also serves as a transportation landmark in accessing different areas within the Greater Manila Area as well. Investing in Cavite PropertiesIf you’re looking to invest in a real estate property located in Cavite, the location of your properties under scrutiny would depend on the purpose of your purchase and investment. If you’re looking for agricultural land, for example, it’s not available in Cavite City itself but elsewhere in the province’s many towns, where agriculture is much more suited and the land price more agreeable. For the urbanized environment of Cavite your sights would be better off set on acquiring residential or commercial lots on which you can put up buildings for your business or lease out for profit. With the influx of investments within the area of Cavite there has also been a corresponding increase in residential homes for rent by the professionals seeking to move in with their families into the city, closer to their jobs in the city environment. Real estate listings here would cover the low-cost and medium-sized houses good for a single family to stay in. of course, with the workforce come the management to preside over them, and multinational companies bringing in their officers will need to have accommodations at the ready. Here you can make a more lucrative business in the luxury segment of the real estate market, with properties like luxury condominiums in South Forbes being targeted primarily for the executive resident. With the wide variety of properties available in Cavite City and elsewhere within the province of the same name, you can get your share of real estate profits and have your money earning more than it would have being deposited with a bank. The possibilities are endless in real estate here, from residential, commercial, and industrial properties being up for sale. Vacation homes are also available here and you can have a second home within Cavite. Renting Vacation properties in Cavite’s luxury market is a nice way to have idle assets still earning even while you’re not around using it. |

Oujda is the capital of Eastern Morocco; it is approximately situated 15 km from the west side of Algeria. It is a hub for Maghreb tourism due to its advantageous geographical location. Oujda is a juncture between North African Countries and Morocco. Contrary to popular belief, Oujda was founded by the Berbers instead of the Moors. Ziri Ben Attia founded Oujda during the 10th century, and it remained the house of his kingdom until his death some 80 years later. After Ziri Ben Attia, the Ziyanids lorded over Oujda for a hundred years when the Turkish began presiding over the city. Skirmishes, which are near the Algerian boundary, were very common until the 1960’s. During one of these riots, students and other groups fought for their beliefs in what is now called the Algerian Border War. Interaction with the Algerians calmed down a bit during the 1980’s and Morocco and Algeria began practicing an open border policy to allow the enjoyment of what both countries had to offer. Unfortunately when civil war broke in Algeria, the border was once again closed. |
